See more. Plan more precisely.
We select examinations according to the specific problem and planned treatment. We combine information from the oral examination, imaging and scanning when this is needed to establish a diagnosis or prepare a restoration.
NewTom Giano HR CBCT imaging
We have our own radiology facilities with a NewTom Giano HR CBCT scanner. Three-dimensional imaging supports the assessment of teeth and bone structures. The dentist decides whether the examination is needed and what area it should cover.
3Shape TRIOS 5
The intraoral scanner captures a digital image of the surfaces of teeth and tissues. The scan can be used to plan and produce dental restorations.
CAD/CAM design
Digital data is sent to our own laboratory, where we design and produce restorations using milling and 3D printing.
What does this mean for you?
We can show you the information we have collected and use it to explain your treatment plan. Cooperation between the clinic and the laboratory makes it easier to discuss the shape and fit of your restoration.
You do not need to choose an examination yourself. Start with a consultation and bring any records you already have.
Assessment of jaw movements and the bite
When planning a prosthetic restoration, we take into account lower jaw movements, tooth contacts and the condition of existing restorations. We combine functional assessment with your clinical history and examination of the tissues. The need for further tests is determined individually.
Frequently asked questions
Does an intraoral scanner take an image of the bone?
No. The scanner records surfaces visible inside the mouth. CBCT provides a different type of imaging. These examinations complement each other only when both are needed for a particular plan.
Is a CBCT scan needed for every crown?
No. The dentist selects examinations according to clinical indications, rather than automatically according to the type of appointment.
Can I bring imaging taken elsewhere?
Yes, bring the records you have. We will assess whether they are useful and whether additional examinations are needed.
